Beyond the Game: Connecting youth to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ through meaningful learning and exploration of soccer, identity and human rights

WHAT: The Centre for Sport and Human Rights has launched a new curriculum that combines soccer with human rights. Generation 2026 School-Based Curriculum (Generation 2026) is a FIFA World Cup 2026™ Toronto Legacy Program built with the generous support from Physical and Health Education Canada. On June 17, hundreds of children will be introduced to the curriculum and experience a day of soccer-related games and activities that explore the FIFA World Cup 2026™ through the lens of human rights, inclusion and global citizenship. Students will also be paid a special visit Mississauga-born athlete Rumaysa Khan.
